I am helping to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Hudson Our Hero

This year, our family is raising money for St. Baldrick’s Foundation through the 19th Annual Growler Invitational Beach Volleyball Tournament, in Raleigh, NC.

This event is especially meaningful to us because Hudson has been chosen as the honored kid for the 2026 Growler.

Each year, one child is chosen, and this year, that child is Hudson. His story is at the heart of this event and serves as a reminder of why childhood cancer research matters so deeply.

Hudson was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma at age 5. Since then, he has endured chemotherapy, major limb-salvage surgery, scans, hospital stays, recovery, and more than any child should ever have to face. Through it all, he has shown courage, strength, faith, and joy that continue to inspire everyone around him.

The Growler brings together teams from North Raleigh swim clubs for four Tuesday nights of beach volleyball, ending with championship night and “Rock the Bald” head-shaving festivities. All proceeds benefit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which funds childhood cancer research for safer treatments and cures.

We are raising money because kids like Hudson deserve better options, less toxic treatments, and the chance to grow up and live out their dreams.

Thank you for honoring Hudson, supporting our team, and helping fund lifesaving childhood cancer research.
