I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Schrader - 2017

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

I am shaving my head again this year to honor and remember Gavin Cole. Gavin is one of my heros. His older brother and sister are friends of mine since preschool and our moms are friends. Gavin was unexpectedly diagnosed with brain cancer just before he turned one. He died before he was even 1.5 years old. He loved to twirl his hair with one hand and suck his thumb on the other hand at the same time. He was SO sweet and cute!!! He also LOVED Lays potato chips. We all call them Gavin chips and always will.  Help me honor this beautiful boy who will forever live on in our hearts. We want to squash cancer so no one else has to go through what the Coles have.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
