I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
When my Mom had lung cancer, she told me that the kids that were getting chemo at the same time she was just broke her heart. When I was taking IVIG for my Thrombocytopenia, I used to let a Non-Hodgkins kid hang out with me, because her parents didn't want to hang for 8 hours. It was cold in that room, and I let her play with my long hair. During that time, this kiddo was happy. I think more kids should be happy, too.
