I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Did you know that every three minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer? Childhood cancer is different than adult cancer, and because only 4% of all cancer research goes to childhood cancer, it is extremely underfunded. It is the mission of those families that I have been so blessed to meet, my co-workers, and myself to help make a change for the thousands of infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancer. My name is Emily Wade. I am a Pediatric Oncology nurse at Summerlin, and I'm raising money for those families that never thought that this could happen to their beautiful children. My goal is to raise $2,000 by March 1, 2017 to continue supporting this great cause. Once my goal is reached, I will be donating 10+ inches of my hair, and then shaving my head with Saint Baldrick’s Foundation in Las Vegas, NV. Every dollar counts and makes a difference. Please help me reach my goal, and help me raise funds for research and family support.
