I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: GUSOM Rose Society

Who wants to see me shave my head?!


Well, that makes one of us. But, on April 12, if I reach my fundraising goal of $2000, we are about to find out how it looks! Every day, 43 children in the US are diagnosed with cancer. These kiddos, just embarking on their journey of life, have met a challenge far greater than many of us can imagine. 


Of the entire federal budget for cancer research, only 4% is allocated to studying pediatric cancer. Since 1980, fewer than 10 drugs have been developed for use in children with cancer. Although there are many passionate and talented researchers ready to find the cure and improve the prognoses for these children, oftentimes, we see that there is simply not enough to finance these projects. 


So what can be done? That's where you come in. Though the cure and treatment is complicated, the answer for you is simple: Fund research. Give researchers and physicians, who have made it their life's mission to save these kids, the power to FIND A CURE!!!
