My Story

Olivia was here on earth for over 5 years and taught us so much during that time. One of the things that has given us the strongest impact is the importance of kindness, particularly Random Acts of Kindness. Olivia did it naturally. She spoke up when she needed to find her voice. And she thought of others before herself. Her soul was bigger than her body. Just shy of Olivia’s 4th birthday, we learned that she carried a genetic mutation that increased her chance of developing tumors throughout her life. Shortly after we learned this information, her right eye was turning in…and she was diagnosed with a large brain tumor that was learned to be AT/RT…an aggressive brain cancer. While our lives were all turned upside down, we love that Olivia is best known for her smile…not her battle. Although Olivia is now our sweet angel in Heaven, I can imagine she will be smiling ear to ear at so many who are thinking of others on this special St. Baldrick’s Day. What a wonderful way to Pay It Forward with so many selfless Acts of Kindness. Thank you for what you’re doing…for so many. Thank you for sharing in a wonderful act of kindness…something that is very special to our family.
