In May 2025, our family was shocked and terrified when my beautiful niece, Avery, was diagnosed with retinoblastoma. It all began when my sister noticed a strange glow in Avery’s left pupil. Within a week, Avery received her diagnosis and immediately began treatment.
While there is still a journey ahead, we are incredibly grateful to share that Avery is now cancer-free. Our family is deeply thankful for the extraordinary doctors and nurses who cared for her, as well as for our amazing family and friends whose love, support, and prayers carried us through this difficult time.
By sharing Avery’s story, we hope to raise awareness and help educate parents about the signs and symptoms of retinoblastoma. Early detection can make all the difference.
