Did you know that 300,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer each year? And in the U.S., one in five will not survive. I want to change that, so I'm raising money to find cures. Sarina and I will be running the San Francisco Marathon on July 29 to raise funds for the St. Baldrick's Foundation and raise awareness about the importance of funding cancer research for children. While a marathon is hard, we are really racing to find a cure which has proven to be even harder.
Ewing sarcoma is a beast! It usually affects children at the cusp of adolescence and adulthood- ages 10-20. It is rare- only about 200 cases a year in the US making it less of a priority for research and research funding. Yet there is still so much research to be done so that we can find a cure once and for all. This is where you can help! The St. Baldrick's Foundation receives and funds grants to researchers all over the US who are almost exclusively researching and looking for a cure for Ewing sarcoma (as well as all other cancers of childhood). It is with your help through these grants and the research they enable that a cure will eventually be found. Please consider a generous donation to help support these researchers in finding a cure.
