The Beautiful Blonde Lady beside me in this photo is my Beloved Wife LISA MALONEY. We actually had a great VIP visiting us at the Dais to wish us well and, as usual, I am captured talking excitedly in a very expressive manner.
But, trust me – nothing I could be saying could be anywhere near as interesting as LISA & The Great life we had already spent together up to then. And yet, her eyes were riveted on me. It sounds crazy – but one of the things I loved most about LISA is that we were often times sort of in awe of each other! This pic convinces me every day - that although I lost her to cancer – that LISA and I knew True Love and Joy. My Life’s Greatest Moments were spent fighting for the woman I loved. Now, I’m fighting so no one else will have to suffer like LISA did or have to suffer this type of loss.
I lost Lisa to cancer in March of 2016 – only about 11 months after diagnosis - Lisa fought incredibly hard! She will always be My Hero - she fought so valiantly to stay here with us all. As most of you know, Lisa & I loved Bermuda long before her diagnosis – we were already planning on doing The Bermuda Triangle of Races each year to raise money for kids battling cancer. Since we lost Lisa, YOU - our friends have all stepped up and are battling cancer for her and in her beautiful warrior memory! To date we have raised OVER $1 Million+ ALL to Help St. Baldrick’s Fight Against Childhood Cancer!! I’ve promised I’ll keep, running, walking or crawling The Bermuda Triangle forever so someday no one will have to suffer from cancer or from losing someone they love to cancer! Every donation goes directly to St. Baldrick’s, the top charitable funder of childhood cancer research grants in the US. I am astounded, humbled, and so grateful for your generosity!
