Help Henry Send Kids' Cancer Packing

We helped to raise money for childhood cancer research at: 13th Annual Raise to Shave

Can you think of anything more important than saving the life of a child?

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.  I will be starting my fundraiser for our 14th Annual Raise to Shave with a special fundraiser.  Let's learn a little bit about it...

B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most sub type of childhood cancer and effects 2,500 kids in the U.S this year alone!  Recently, there was a milestone of 96% DISEASE-FREE survival rate for child with B-cell ALL using an immunotherapy call blinatumomab.  One of the most significant achievements in the last 20 years and St. Baldrick;s Foundation played a role in this.

SO HOW DOES IT WORK??

Children receive treatment through a backpack over a 28-day cycle.  It holds a promise to be less toxic side treatments and fewer long-term side effects.  SO children wear a backpack with the medicine for 28 days--14 days break--28 days back on.

WHAT WILL I DO??

I will help shoulder the weight and stand in solidarity with these children by wear MY BACK BACK FOR the month of September.  If you see me, you will see a green backpack on my shoulders.  YOU can help by donating to my cause and getting me to my $2500 for the month!

If you would like to join me, let me know!  Let's knock cancer out!
