Celebrating 25 Years

St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.

National Partner

Dick Bigelow's Memorial Gift to St. Baldrick's

We helped to raise money for childhood cancer research at: LAFD / LAPD Fire Station 89

This fundraising page has been set up to honor one of Dick Bigelow's last wishes. Dick's grandson Will was diagnosed with cancer in 2002 at the age of 4. In the years that have followed, Dick has been a generous donor to the St. Baldrick's Foundation on behalf of his grandson and all children touched by cancer.

Dick lived a long and happy life, and it was his wish that the youngest victims of cancer would be able to have that very same opportunity.

Please join us in remembering what a lovely, elegant, kind, loving man Dick Bigelow was by helping to fund lifesaving research. Fact: Did you know that 175,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer each year? And in the U.S., one in five will not survive.

The St. Baldrick's Foundation. is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

So when we ask for your support, we're really asking you to support these kids, like Dick's grandson Will.
