Sneads Ferry, Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, Topsail, Holly Ridge, Surf City and beyond:

.

This is a community St. Baldrick’s head-shaving fundraiser for childhood cancer research!

.

(Not ready to shave your head? There’s so many more ways to get involved!)

.

Local volunteers will shave their heads in solidarity with children battling cancer while honoring several local kids, including young fighters and those we’ve lost. The event began last year in a Camp Lejeune driveway for a 7-year-old with leukemia and has grown into a larger community effort raising funds for lifesaving pediatric cancer research.

Donate to support childhood cancer research. Charitable organizations/businesses will be honored at the event and via social media. I first shaved my head for St. Baldrick’s in honor of my student in 2014 and raised $5,000. Last year, I shaved my head and we raised over $5,000 again. This year I carried a backpack for 28 days to raise awareness for kids who carry chemo backpacks during treatment, and my personal goal is to raise $2,500 for research. Donations of any size mean so much, and I love highlighting community support. Charitable organizations/businesses will be honored at the event and via social media.

Donate here to any of our participants! All donations go to the same place: children’s cancer research!

Donate a gift certificate to be used to raffle off. 100% of proceeds go to children's cancer research. Again, charitable organizations/businesses will be honored at the event and via social media.

Click JOIN US to sign up and participate! Individuals or businesses can fundraise in any way they choose. Some participants shave their heads or facial hair, while others trim and donate an 8–12 inch ponytail. Haircuts are not required to participate.

Share our event with others. I’ve attached flyers that can be shared digitally or printed. Please follow/share our social media posts from https://www.facebook.com/sneadsferrystbaldricks and Instagram/Tiktok: @sneadsferrystbaldricks I promote local businesses who are involved!

Attend the event and cheer on those braving the shave, regardless if you participate.

Our goal is simply to bring the community together to support children facing cancer and help fund the research that will give them the long, healthy lives they deserve. Thank you for considering being part of this important mission.
