Paddy's Steakhouse & Pub is hosting a challenge match between the Stafford County Fire and Rescue and Stafford County Sheriff's Office for the fundraising benefit sponsored by St. Baldrick's. Participants will be shaving their hair in a contest to determine which Office can raise the most in financial donations for this worthy cause. Please be there to support your team. Paddy's is just off Garrisonville Road in Stafford. (540) 657-4900 9 Center Street Stafford, VA 22556 From I-95 take exit (143) toward GARRISONVILLE. Paddy's is approximately 2 miles from I-95. One of the Honored children, Tomas was the guest of honor for this event. I have to thank the Stafford community! Tomas felt the love flowing from that event. Physically the chemotherapy has caused havoc on his body. Simple things like a new toy or candy brings momentary joy to him. He understands that the money that was raised does not have an effect on him, he does know that the money goes to finding better cures to "kick leukemia's butt." This simple act of giving in his name brings happiness to his complicated life. The added bonus of him being the center of attention is beyond measure. I feel deep down in my heart that last Sunday pushed his survival chances up a couple of percentage points because he saw in the participants eyes and lack of hair that he and his family are not alone in this battle for life. My appreciation for what the community gave to Tomas is beyond words. The Nichols family P.S. He still has me reading the total donations back to him.
