The Hike4Hope is an opportunity to increase awareness of childhood cancer and enable folks of all ages to raise funds for research.
The event, which will span at least three years and multiple states, supports The Leukemia-Lymphoma Society, The St. Baldrick’s Foundation and The Make-A-Wish Foundation. These organizations’ separate missions overlap on the issue of childhood cancer which affects tens of thousands of children and young adults every year.
Here are a few facts for you to think about:
More than 40 children are diagnosed with cancer every day, seven don’t survive, and childhood cancer kills more children than all other diseases combined.
We act as an outlet for hikers to donate and support already existing organizations to help find a cure for childhood cancer.
Have you ever wanted to go on a big hiking trip, but didn’t think about doing it for a bigger cause? Through TheHike4Hope, you are able to hike purposefully by raising money for various organizations.
The hike symbolizes the steps that must be taken by folks, especially children, and their families to face the challenges ahead of them. We, like them, start with little steps. This is an opportunity for folks who hike or walk—locally or across mountains—to make their steps count for these wonderful organizations.
Won’t you consider “stepping up” as well?
Our purpose is solely to help you, the hiker, raise money to bring hope for many families dealing with cancer.
