AMSTERDAM, WE DID IT!!!! The small city with the big heart DID live up to it's well deserved name! We came together as a community and surpassed every expectation for our first event. Keep in mind the money is still pouring in, but as of this morning here are some numbers: $19,977 raised, and 59 Shavees who lost their hair! I know we will surpass the $20,000 mark once all the matching gifts from the GE Foundation are logged. I want thank everyone who volunteered, raised money, offered their services, and came in support of this great cause. We couldn't have done it without you!!!! We joined a very special and elite group of cities around the world who want to finally find a cure for childhood cancer. More importantly we all became heroes for kids with cancer!
