Be a hero for kids with cancer! Join the Hofstra Roller Hockey Team, the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine, and the rest of the Hofstra Community for our 8th Annual St. Baldrick's Day Shave-a-thon!  Whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement! The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. For the past 8 years, the Hofstra Roller Hockey Team has been running these head shaving events as a sign of solidarity with those who typically lose their hair during cancer treatment.  Recently, the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine has championed the cause and has taken our event to a whole new level! The late Dean of Students, Pete Libman, also was a champion for our cause and we remember him dearly for his kindness, hard work and dedication to the Hofstra community, especially our cause. Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers!

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
