Be a
hero for kids with cancer!
Hello friends! Eleanor has been growing her hair super long and taking great care of it; it is now over 12 inches! She is ready to chop off her beautiful hair to help make wigs for other kiddos who may need to have one. Her future plans, she tells us, is to do it over and over again. Her heart is filled with so much sunshine and gold and love.
Getting together this year in person is still tough to do - so Eleanor asks you to please help her out to raise much needed funds for kids' cancer research.
There are a couple of different ways we would love to see you help out this brave little girl and her hair chop!
1.) Become a fundraising participant yourself! Sign-up today and join our journey. You can choose what you would like to do: have a blast and try something new, cross off that bucket list thing you have been wanting to do. Then, get your friends and family excited to donate to your fundraising page. Need ideas: shave your head for a great summer cool-do, donate your hair, pledge to run/walk 5 miles, offer a free online lesson, challenge a friend to see who can raise the most funds (2nd place buys dinner!). Your choice - make it super fun. This is what makes this super cool, you don't have to shave your head.
2.) If becoming a participant is not quite right for you, consider donating to her event and help spread the word.
Then, we will record live her marvelous hair cut here in Fredonia and then share it with you all. As a participant, you will also have the choice to join in a watch party to share your fundraiser - or you may want to host your own watch party. Afterward, we plan to celebrate with balloons, cake and ice cream! Don't forget to celebrate all of your hard work too! Until we meet again and can have a "face-painting, fun stick-on tattoos, balloons kind of dance party" in person.
Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement!
The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers!
