Shepaug Knows, So Shepaug Cares

Hi!  I am Maddie Gorra, a senior at Shepaug Valley School, and on April 27th I will be shaving my head for childhood cancer! This will be a classic hair shaving event, with the added piece of hair donations as well.  If braving the shave is too brave, donate 6 inches. Hair grows back!   Click HERE to donate to my teacher and coach who will shave her head with me, but only if $10,000 is raised.  If you are donating hair, not shaving, please sign up for a spot before 1:45. ALL SHAVEES WILL BE GOING TOGETHER AT THE END At my school every senior chooses a topic to study for the year as part of our senior project.  I chose cancer.  Me, like many other people these days, know way too many people affected by cancer.  So join this St. Baldrick's event and donate, volunteer, or shave your head with me!  Be a hero for kids with cancer! The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
