Be a hero for kids with cancer!
Since families can’t cancel Childhood Cancer, we won’t cancel Wilson St. Baldrick’s! While the event will look different this year, our Volunteers felt strongly we need to continue our Wilson tradition to raise money for childhood cancer research.
The event will be at Headlines Hair Design in Lucama, which is owned and operated by our long term volunteers Wayne and Justin Watson. We’ll have four chairs set up and will be following all social distancing guideline. Face masks will be required. To ensure we all stay safe and have room to distance ourselves, we will be working with the Shavees to schedule a time between 2:00 & 6:00 on April 24 to Shave or cut 8” of hair. Weather permitting, we’ll move the event outside in the parking lot behind Headlines. Like our past events, Dawna Lucas (Dawna’s Hair Studio) and Somer Watson (Ross McDaniel Salon) will also be joining the event to shave heads!
Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement!
The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers!
