Be a hero for kids with cancer!
Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement!
Join us as at the Church Hill Irish Festival the weekend of March 24-25th. Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
Last year we named Caleb our honorary for the event. Caleb is a 4 year old boy, from Mechanicsville, who last year about this time was diagnosed with STAGE 3 NEUROBLASTOMA cancer. This shows you how close to home this disease affects people's lives. Caleb's father is a firefighter for the fire station #1 right here in Church Hill--so we felt it was more than appropriate that we we honored Caleb and his family along with the 100s of other families that this disease affects. I'm happy to say Caleb ended 2017 cancer free but still has several hospitalizations and home treatments to go. Volunteering, shaving, raising money and all that you can do at this event really does make a difference.
Please join us March 24th, shavees, their friends and family, many volunteers and the fans that will be there to support each other in this amazing coming together event.
Below is a small portion of the awesomeness of 2016....2017 coming soon. Also below are kids we have honored in the past that are local to the Richmond area. Again your participation DOES make a difference!!
Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers!
