Be a hero for kids with cancer!
Join the Hofstra Roller Hockey Team, the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine, and the rest of the Hofstra Community for our 8th Annual St. Baldrick's Day Shave-a-thon! Whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement!
The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
For the past 8 years, the Hofstra Roller Hockey Team has been running these head shaving events as a sign of solidarity with those who typically lose their hair during cancer treatment. Recently, the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine has championed the cause and has taken our event to a whole new level!
The late Dean of Students, Pete Libman, also was a champion for our cause and we remember him dearly for his kindness, hard work and dedication to the Hofstra community, especially our cause.
Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers!
