After returning from his Junior year of college Christian began experiencing excruciating headaches that pain medication could not fix. After a second trip to the hospital the doctors found a tumor mass behind the frontal lobe in his head the size of a small apple which was causing the pain. After a few days in the hospital to monitor and flush out the excessive amounts of Advil he had been taking the doctors were ready to operate. It took back to back brain surgeries totaling over 10 hours to remove the mass in his head. Biopsy revealed the mass was a Glioblastoma Tumor, an aggressive and dangerous type of brain tumor. The news was shocking but with a positive attitude he went into treatment headstrong. After his first round of chemo and 6 weeks of radiation it was time for Christian to decide if he wanted to return to college and finish his Senior year. He decided to do it and continued chemo through his senior year, coming home for scans and doctors. Christian graduated this past May of 2022 with a degree in Business Administration and a second degree in Business Management, making the Dean's List both senior semesters. He has since returned home and has been in remission since this past September. He continues with scans every three months and continues to keep a positive attitude.
Thank you for supporting Christian and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick's Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
