*****READ HERE****for the days activities. Fun for all! Location: Hairbenders Salon 802 E Blanco Rd, Boerne, Texas just past the Post Office Be a hero for kids with cancer! Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Please note that head-shaving will be begin at 1:00 p.m. The event activities: Local vending from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm for those who want to attend and who are not shaving their heads! All are welcome. Join us for all or part of this event! Friends welcome! Special speakers and book signing: Manny Diotte founder and CEO of The Ferrari Kid, and contributing author, will be speaking about his journey and mission for kids with cancer. There will also be a book signing with proceeds going to St Baldricks. www.TheFerrariKid.org One of the 46Mommas, Rhonda Ebrom will be sharing her journey too. www.46mommas.com Rhonda Chadwick with Thrivent (a supporter of St Baldrick's) will be sharing heart-warming stories of loosing her best friend to cancer, a family's devastating experience of loosing their child to cancer and her passion and plan to help others in need. Macy Duke (cancer patient age 5) and her mother Monica will be honored. Vending activities and demonstrations include: Live Beautiful hair extensions and wig fittings by owner Amanda Lemm, BeautiControl Cosmetics by Cindy Perlotto, (35 years as a stylist btw), The Freedom Girl's, a story of Ruth and Nerium AD by Jackie Liberto, Votre Vu "Color it Forward" free color-line makeovers, Hairbenders Salon massages by Donna Guidry LMT, Cakes & Creations by Lynda K., Nutrition Sense by Kerry Green, MS, RD, LD and Tomboy Tools by Bonnie Tom. Handmade paper beads from Uganda in support of orphans at African-Hearts.org with partial proceeds going to St Baldricks. Nachos and refreshments. Head Shave from 1:00 - 4:00 pm volunteers are welcome. Register online. Extra parking will be available across the street. ******LET'S DO THIS BIG in TEXAS.......
