Greetings! We are excited to be back for our second year as participants in St. Baldrick's Day! Last year gave us a lot of good memories, and a feeling of being part of something we could be proud of. We're looking forward to more of the same this year. We are educators, students, and family members from the Altmar Parish Williamstown CSD, located north of Syracuse and east of Oswego. Every day, we look into the eyes, minds, and hearts of children. They are the future and a priceless treasure, and the sad truth is that far too many children just like the ones in our classes and schools never get a chance to see a full life. It is difficult enough to witness the stress, heartache, and suffering of our family members, friends, and colleagues when they are faced with a fight with cancer. To watch it happen to a child is even worse. Children are stronger and more resilient than we may often expect, but this disease is heartless and ruthless. We hope that our efforts will help find a cure, but in the very least we hope that our participation shows those in the fight that they are not alone, and that others care about and support them. Please consider donating to this worthy cause, and if you want to go even farther, we'd love to have you as a member of the team and fellow "shavee"! Thank you for your support!
