The Oakland Firefighters have once again answered the call to be real heroes! We've teamed up for the third year to have our heads shaved – to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. This year is special for us, because we are honoring one of our own. Fire Investigator Weldon Clemons' 6 year-old son, Harlem, was recently diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. He has completed his chemotherapy and is currently receiving radiation treatments. When we shave our heads on March 17, Harlem will be there with us as our "honored kid." Please help us show him how Oakland Firefighters support their brothers and sisters by either signing up to join our team and having your head shaved or by donating to our team's fundraising effort. Even if you can't shave your head, please come by Children's Hospital on March 17 ("C" Shift) and show your support. For more info or to see photos from past years' events, check out our Facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Oakland-Firefighters-St-Baldricks-Group/172216832894586
