Team Sadie!!!!! It’s that time of year again!!! This will be our third year participating in what has become the greatest event in funding a cure for childhood cancers! Sadie was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in February 2011. In 2012 while undergoing pretty heavy chemo, Sadie and her team of family and friends came to Helens for the first time to shave for a cure!! So many of us left there touched, moved by the energy and the love in the air for so many kids who didn't ask for what they've been forced to face. Sadie again returned with her mob of followers in 2013, still in treatment, yet on a mission for remission later that year. We all left Helen's last year with a feeling that shaving for a cure would be a forever thing for all of us!! Sadie did win her fight in July 2013 and she "kicked her cancer bugs out" her words! 2014 Team Sadie is in remission but still on a mission to help so many others who are still fighting! Childhood cancers are so different from adult cancers and research is underfunded. With all of our help maybe one day there will be a cure for this horrible disease that threatens so many!!! If u can't donate or shave I ask you come to Helens in March just to experience an amazing day!!!
