This is our 7th St. Baldricks event as an honored family. The 5th one with out our daughter Michelle. She lost her battle with cancer on Oct. 19th, 2009. Just 3 weeks after her 19th Birthday. The time without her has flown by, yet stands still. Missing her every single day more and more. And some days a challenge to get through. But on December 19th, 2013 our oldest daughter Amanda, who has shaved her head twice in honor of her sister, has graduated nursing school. A bitter sweet day for us. As much as it would have been nice for Michelle to be with us, I don't know if it would have happened if she were still here. Amanda's drive and determination to be a nurse came from her sister. My hope is that the money raised through St. Baldricks will find a cure. And in the future, moments like these won't be because someone lost a sister to cancer. Thank's to Dan and his crew for all the support and hard work you guys all do to making that happen!
Until there's a cure!
