I was one and my big sister was two when they discovered her leukemia.
In the early 70’s they pretty much just tried to make a person comfortable, there wasn’t much hope for survival. Fortunately, my father was in medicine, completing his residency at the time. A friend and colleague of my father’s knew of a new trial treatment for leukemia so my parents decided to give it a shot. Three years of almost daily treatment (today’s chemotherapy) and some 70 blood transfusions later, my sister became the first survivor of childhood leukemia at the hospital she frequented for her treatments.
A college graduate, beautiful wife, and mother of 3 amazing children lives in Eagle, Idaho today because of cancer research. Being her only brother of four with active hair follicles, I want to do my part to help others and honor my sister!

We have answered the call to be heroes! We've teamed up to have our heads shaved – to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.

Please support us with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when we ask for your support, we're really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
