This year, Northport High School's National Honor Society and St. Baldrick's are working together to conquer kids' cancers. On March 4th, students from Northport High School will decorate the commons in honor of the event the next day, March 5th. The week prior to our event, we will be collecting donations in the commons during the lunch periods and before and after school we will be selling St. Baldrick's t-shirts, sweatshirts and sweatpants to raise awareness for kids' cancers. To show that our students havonation will receive a green wristband to show their support. On the day of our event, every inch of the commons will be covered in green with facts and statistics relating to childhood cancer and the St. Baldrick's Foundation. At our event, we will have our volunteered teachers shave their heads. Each grade level will be assigned a teacher as a representative which creates a friendly competition between the grades. Whichever teacher raises the most money wins points for the grade they are representing at our later event "Battle of the Classes" (not related to St. Baldrick's). So on March 5th, show your support by wearing your St. Baldrick's t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants and wristbands and donating to your grade's teacher. Show your support, help conquer kids' cancer.
