This year, my three boys will be joining my in participating in the St. Baldrick's event in Plainfield. As an extra incentive, as if one was needed, a great family that we've known from our daughter's gymnastics club has now experienced childhood cancer first hand. Just before Halloween, less than three months ago, their five year old boy Max was diagnosed with DIPG - Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma. DIPG is a very rare (fewer than 200 cases nationwide each year) and a very horrific form of childhood cancer. So, to help find treatments and a cure for Max, and because the four of us are healthy enough to give a little bit of time (and hair), we're volunteering to have our heads shaved. So, please, join us in mind, body (the event is open to the public), or your wallet.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

It's all about the kids. Let's fund childhood cancer research to help kids grow up cancer-free. Get involved or make a donation today, and click a photo below to see why we need cures now.
