In August of 2004 my 14 year-old daughter Jennifer was diagnosed with a very rare form of childhood cancer. In March 2005 I shaved my head for St Baldrick's for the first time....I've done so every year since.
Jen fought a 6 year battle with her cancer but unfortunately the science did not yet exist to provide a cure and she became an Angel in May 2010. During her battle she inspired everyone she met. Together we became members of the Northport NY St Baldrick's committee, one of the largest events on the St Baldrick's calendar.
Jennifer also loved ducks. In her memory I founded the "Jen's Ducks" team which in various populace has participated in every event since 2011. I am honored to continue this role in Jen's Memory and look forward to the day when the research funded by St Baldrick's finds cures for these mysterious childhood cancers.
Everyone is welcome to be a part of the Jen's Ducks team in this year's event. Please feel free to join the team (or create your own). Together we are stronger!
Thanks for your support and participation!
