Joey’s Team - Bald is Beautiful is named after a survivor of osteosarcoma who  got involved with St Baldrick’s when he was in treatment in 2005, the year St B’s became a foundation.  He was the foundation’s first “ambassador child” and his elementary school coined the phrase “Bald is Beautiful” to support him.  As Joey lost his hair due to chemo, nearly all of his fellow second graders shaved in solidarity, as well as his class’s 7th grade “faith partners” at St. Thomas Aquinas school.  Joey survived cancer and went on to shave his head eleven times (and counting) leading a team that has raised more than $2M for children’s cancer research to to date.

If you’re shaving and raising money, you’re welcome to join our team and prove that Bald is Beautiful!

If you’re donating, please give generously, to give kids with cancer the long, healthy lives they deserve. Thank you!
