Celebrating 25 Years

St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.

My 9 year old great nephew, Max Derba, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in July 2016.  He had a tumour that was wrapped around his heart that was inoperable.  After an agnozing 8 months of cancer treatments, we lost our beautiful Max to this devastating disease.

As his great aunt, I felt completely helpless throughout Max's horrific journey and wanted to do something to help raise awareness and funding for Childhood Cancer research so we can help stop this from happening to other families.

In late 2019, I was lucky enough to meet colleagues, Erica Murphy and Jeff Neu, who were extremely passionate about this topic as well due to their own personal experiences and the three of us along with several other colleagues formed a core team that are now acting as Childhood Cancer Advocates.

Now I need your support!

You can either donate to this team and/or sign up to this team to shave your head and start gathering your own donations!

Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Join me today and let’s #DFYchildhoodCancers together.

Honoring his memory....Go Mighty Max!
