We're the Scott-Smith family -- for those of you who already know us, you're probably familiar with our son, Ethan, and his amazing battle to conquer his childhood cancer. For those of you who might not be as familiar with our story, here's a brief re-cap: Our son, Ethan, was diagnosed with a malignant pediatric brain tumor, Medulloblastoma, in October 2007. He underwent brain surgery to remove the tumor at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN, before becoming a St. Jude Children's Research Hospital patient. Once there, Ethan was enrolled in his treatment protocol, SJMB03, and underwent a grueling 7 months of radiation therapy and high-dose chemotherapy. He completed his chemotherapy in the early summer of 2008, and has been clear ever since. Our journey through the world of childhood cancer has been affiliated with only two of the many hospitals and cancer research centers, but we are well aware of the desperate need to keep all of them well-funded and thriving in their search for a cure. Please help us raise money through the St. Baldrick's Foundation to beat Kid's Cancer. :)
