Ok so if you know me you know that I am no stranger to a bald head! My name is Jacob AKA The Leukemia Slayer. I was diagnosed with high risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia on December 2, 2010 when I was nine years old. I lost my hair during treatment a few times and quickly found out that a head gets pretty cold without hair! Leukemia treatment is long, and I am proud to say I finished my treatment on March 22, 2014.

When my oncologists at Duke told me they were having a St Baldrick's shave for childhood cancer just a couple of days before my one year off treatment anniversary, I said count me in! Going bald for childhood cancer research is the perfect way to celebrate my big day! I know my donation goal of $1206.00 seems kinda random, but it has special meaning to me. I was in treatment for 1206 days, so I would like to raise one dollar for each day I was in treatment!
Childhood cancer research is sadly underfunded and that is why so many families that are affected by childhood cancer do fundraising to help find a cure. Every dollar makes a difference for all the kids who have cancer, who had cancer and who will have cancer in the future.
Thank you to all my fans for your support, together we can help find a cure for childhood cancer!!!
