On October 16, 2013, a mass was discovered in Kyler’s brain. A mere 24 hours later after arriving at the ER, Kyler was rushed into emergency surgery to have the tumor removed. His recovery after surgery was long and difficult. His cancer was rare, a grade 4 malignant brain tumor with no clear diagnosis that had already spread to his spine. Kyler endured 8 months of chemotherapy and a second brain surgery. Unfortunately, the cancer was more advanced than the current treatment options. Kyler lived every day of his short 3 years to the fullest.

Kyler brought so much joy into our lives everyday. His smile was contagious, his laugh was infectious and those cheeks were oh so kissable. He was a happy little boy, always, before cancer and even throughout. He never complained, even with all that he had been through. He just rolled with, he adapted, and he made the best of every and any situation. Kyler loved to eat the air, he loved to lift his head upwards and feel the rain and snow on his face, and he loved digging in the dirt. The kid loved life, all the simple things. He will be forever remembered and deeply missed. He was our super trooper.

We are shaving our heads to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So we decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now we need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

It's all about the kids. Let's fund childhood cancer research to help kids grow up cancer-free. Get involved or make a donation today, and click a photo below to see why we need cures now.
