Celebrating 25 Years

St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.

Cancer you're fired!

  • Alexa Moore photo

Alexa has once again decided to raise money for Pediatric Cancer Awareness through one of the best charitable events we know-St. Baldrick's. St. Baldrick's is near and dear to our hearts as the very first event we attended back in 2008 was in honor of Alexa while she was fighting her own battle with Clear Cell Sarcoma of the Kidney. Sequoya Middle School, under the direction and guidance of Ms. Doreen Schaefer and Ms. Jen Jargo, brought St. Baldrick's to Sachem and we have participated every year since. We are forever grateful to them and to Sachem for raising awareness and thousands of dollars toward research and a cure. Last year, Alexa lost her amazing Aunt Sherrie to Ewing's Sarcoma-a pediatric cancer. She also lost her beloved Poppy to Cancer two months prior to her aunt. It was heartbreaking for our entire family. In addition, a good friend of ours, Rachel,  has relapsed with her own pediatric  Cancer-also a Ewing's Sarcoma. Please help us in the fight against pediatric Cancer. There is so little funding and not enough awareness. No amount is too small. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering supporting this amazing charity.
