Welcome to Washington Elementary  St. Baldrick’s page!

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer and donor-powered charity committed to supporting the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives.

Here is the place to Sign up as a shavee. Once signed up, you will get your very own fundraising page that your family and friends can donate on your soon-to-be-shaved head!

Why shave your head, you may ask?

Kids who get Cancer are very sick and must take medicine that sometimes makes their hair fall out. Imagine how that might feel, to get sick and lose your hair. Do you think you might feel different? Or sad? The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is here to help kids with Cancer by raising money for better medicine and shaving heads to help kids with Cancer feel less alone.

So when someone asks, “Why are you bald?” you can tell them, “I am helping raise money for kids with Cancer, and my head is bald so that kids with Cancer don’t feel different or alone.”

Parents, guardians, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, grandmas, and grandpas… yes, you can also shave! Join the fun and make it a family event!

OK - now the cool stuff, we have a few more reasons to shave!

BWW FREE LUNCH - The Elementary School in the Romeo District that raises the most money will win a Luncheon hosted by Buffalo Wild Wings. The Luncheon will take place at the winning school, and only Registered / Shavee kids can attend the Luncheon.

PS5 RAFFLE PRIZE - For every $25 raised by a registered student shavee, they will receive one raffle ticket ( $100 equals 4 tickets etc. ). The more money you raise, the better your chances to win this fabulous prize!

The winning ticket will be drawn on March 16th, and One Student will win a NEW PlayStation 5 Gaming System. Students in all grades and schools are eligible to win.
