Our shave time is 1:45pm!

Jocelyn & I are shaving our heads to raise money for childhood cancer research! It all started before Christmas when I expressed interest in cutting my hair and I thought about doing it for a cause, hence, St. Baldrick's. When I told my family about this, Jocelyn broke down in tears saying, "You can't shave your head! You won't be my mommy anymore!" Of course this occurred on Christmas Eve in the middle of a restaurant... At that point I told her I wouldn't do it if she didn't want me to and that we would discuss it later in a more appropriate setting.

Fast forward to a week ago. We talked about me shaving my head again and I asked if she wanted to join me.  I told her about how we would be helping kids with cancer. We can raise money and show support for kids that lose their hair from chemotherapy. I told her how they are essentially poisoning their bodies hoping it kills the cancer before them and that their hair is the first to go.  I told her to think about it.  The next day she came to me and said she wanted to do it.  So here we are.

So please join us by making a donation.  We can make a difference.

Thank You!

Liz & Jocelyn Thomas

(Please note: I did tell Jocelyn that if she changes her mind at the last minute I wouldn't make her shave her head.  It's a very personal experience which is why I'm so proud of her for wanting to join me!  I think she will follow through, but I wanted to give her an escape clause.)
