We are shaving our heads to raise money for childhood cancer research in honor of Charlie Peter! Charlie was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on July 6, 2017. She was just about to turn 18 months old and had always been a funny, feisty, strong-willed little girl. Those traits have helped her immensely during the aggressive treatment for leukemia. The current treatment protocol for ALL is 6-9 months of weekly chemotherapy followed by about 2 years of maintenance chemotherapy. Over the past 9 months, Charlie has had countless needle pokes, spinal taps under anesthesia, hospital stays, doses of steroids, chemotherapy, and antibiotics, and the list goes on. This is not the way a child should have to live. Please help us raise money for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation in hopes that this treatment plan may be shorter and safer for other children in the future!
