Celebrating 25 Years

St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.

My name is Brett Zachman, and I go by my nickname, Zach. It's a name from when I played football as a kid. My childhood is also the connection to my passionate support of St. Baldrick's Foundation. My next-door neighbor and childhood friend Jeff DeRock died of leukemia at the age of 12. Attending his funeral at the age of 11 was a life-changing moment.

In 2012, while coaching my son's little league basketball team, our teammate (Jacob Drury) came down with cancer. When I learned St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research, I knew I had to support them. We dedicated our season to Jacob and attended the event at Fado's next to Coors Field. That season brought back all the memories of Jeff.

Today, I am the Founder of BeMen a non-profit organization for men focused on making a positive impact within society. (www.BeMen.org) For 10+ years, we've been happily supporting St. Baldrick's. I sincerely hope you will help BeMen raise $1,000 for St. Baldrick's efforts in 2025!

Thank you,

Zach
