You heard it right - We are shaving our heads in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research!

We are a group of UVA nursing students in the midst of our clinical experiences. Each one of us has a different story about how cancer has touched our lives, each one of us has different career goals and aspirations for the future, but each one of us is the same in that we want to do what we can to wipe out childhood cancer.

As we do our clinicals all over the hospital with our bald heads we will be making a statement, that BALD IS BEAUTIFUL and that we honor and respect all those patients, both young and old, who are fighting cancer. While we are healthy and will never be able to fully understand or relate to our patients, we can show them that we support them and are with them every step of the way.

Please support us as we join the fight to end childhood cancer. No donation is too small and all support is appreciated. Thank you!!

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

It's all about the kids. Let's fund childhood cancer research to help kids grow up cancer-free. Get involved or make a donation today, and click a photo below to see why we need cures now.
