It is that time of year again, where I grow out my hair and look to raise money for St Baldricks and pediatric cancer research and resources. This will be the 11th year for me and it is very rewarding to see the progress being made by this foundation. And every year, I have wonderful friends and family who are willing to donate to the cause.
This year I would like to recognize the passing of a friend, Bruce Smaha, to cancer. He was not a child in age but was a child at heart. Generous to this cause for me, and always had a mischievous smile on his face, he always kept things interesting. My thoughts and prayers to his family. Like most of us, they were touch by cancer. Hopefully and donations will help get rid of this awful disease.
Thank you in advance for your donation. If you don’t want to or cant donate, that is cool to. Just try to make your corner of the world a little better!!!
Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?
A challenge among friends 25 years ago has become the largest volunteer movement to Conquer Kids’ Cancer. This year, I’m joining thousands of others to shave my head to raise money for childhood cancer research!
Did you know, 1 in 5 kids diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. won’t survive? For those who do, more than 96% have severe or life-threatening conditions by the time they are 50.
Each shaved head, every dollar donated, creates a ripple effect of progress for kids with cancer.
Your gift will give kids and their families hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
Together, let’s give these kids the lifetime they deserve. Thank you for your support!
