24 years ago, 2 wonderful events occurred; I found out I was going to be a dad and I was accepted to medical school. I have loved being a dad more than anything and have been so lucky to have healthy happy kids. I have also loved being a doc; my career has been dedicated to taking care of marginalized populations. Currently I'm working with end of life care and hospice; you can imagine the difficulty of children in this situation.
24 years ago, I stopped going to the barber....lots of reasons, but primarily to be different.
Please help me do something very different and raise a bunch of money as I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
