I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Kyra

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Kyra

Wear your red shoes with your team kyra socks on March 2nd, its a thing:)

The time has come to jump in! In less than 2 months many of my friends and our incredible St.Baldrick's community will be bald, and we will walk taller and smile bigger because on that day we all know that we are better when we step 'up and out of whats easy'.

'You're shaving again???" is something I hear quite a bit, with a little bit of a 'you're crazy but we get it sort of a look'.

I do it for kyra; #teamkyra.  Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed. Every 2 minutes a family is put through a hell they never knew possible.

Kyra, sister to Ross and Branagh, our daughter, would be 25 years old. Kyra passed away when she was 2 and a half.

Initially misdiagnosed with a different brain tumor, it was only through research that Kyra was diagnosed with Atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumor (AT/RT), and that was 10 years after she passed away.

If your child got ill, you would want to know that you had the best possible doctor and the best possible treatment plan and all the best you could do. It was nobody's fault in our case, just a lack of research. At least you want to be in the right fight.

Research changed all of that. Research saves lives.

Many people ask me how they can help; we need only limited help on the day, but what we really need is to tell people that kids need us to fight this disease.

The 3.8% of monies that get devoted to kids cancer research is not adequate.

Please help us spread the word, help us grow St.Baldrick's Las Vegas.

And ..  we ordered a whole bunch of #teamkyra socks, buy some socks and wear your red shoes on March 2nd.

If you read this to the end, thank you. You are an angel and we are friends.
