A couple of weeks ago, I learned that a high school friend of mine is going through an ordeal that I cannot even begin to imagine. Her daughter, Grace, is fighting brain cancer. Feelings of helplessness have been overwhelming for her family, friends and me.
Then I realized that there is something I can do. That we can ALL do. We can give a bit of money for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. It is their mission is to provide funding for the most promising research for cures to childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives. It may not be in time to stop the pain and trauma for Grace, but maybe, just maybe, it will help the children of the future.
To make this donation even more enticing – I am going to shave my head at the Crystal City Sports Pub on April 9th. While Grace is going through her chemo treatments, she is losing her hair. In solidarity with her and other children going through similar experiences, I will lose mine.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!

If you are in the DC Metro area, I would love for you to come down to the Crystal City Sports Pub on April 9th and watch me get shaved.
