I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Paige's Posse

Year 15 is approaching and it appears it will be the final year with this group in Franklin Park, I did my first shave on a whim in 2009 and then found out the daughter of an old friend had passed away from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Paigé was was born on April 4, 1988 & was only 6 years old when she was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). She fought hard, and with a wonderful spirit, however in February of 1997 Paigé relapsed, and sadly, only 6 months later on August 7, 1997 she succumbed to the disease. Paigé was only 9 years old when she passed away. In 2010, I decided I would shave every year for Paigé and I, and many of my friends have joined our team over the last 14 years. Even though 2023 will most likely be the last year for the event sponsored by the Franklin Park Fire Dept, I will continue to shave and raise money for this foundation either with another group or just on my own.
