I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: The Rich and Weissman Family Lymphoma and Survivorship Fund

Do you have children? Are they healthy? If they weren't, is there any limit to the lengths you would go to in order to find a cure for their illness? I'm Sandy and I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Kids' cancers are different from adult cancers, and childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I'm braving the shave to help raise money for cures.

I've been supporting St. Baldrick's fundraising events for several years; as a donor, as a volunteer, and once before as a shavee. I won't deny I'm nervous about losing the locks I worked so hard to grow back out these last 5 years since my last shave, but I have been blessed with my health (& lots of moral support) and I realize that kids fighting cancer endure baldness without a choice. I have been astounded and humbled by people's generosity, and it's my sincere hope that I will, once again, bear witness to an outpouring of support for this effort. Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Please help me help them. Thank you for your donation, or for sharing my page with others!
