I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Myers Strong

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Myers Strong

Everything about my life changed when my parents told me that my brother had cancer.

Two months prior, Owen began to experience some leg pain. As the pain got worse, he visited many doctors as we tried to figure out what was causing it. Countless visits later and many days spent at different doctors’ offices, we finally found out that he had a tumor on his femur that was larger than a golf ball. They told us he would need a biopsy of it to see if it was cancerous or benign. He was diagnosed with Anaplastic Large T-Cell Lymphoma ALK Positive and would have to receive chemotherapy for six months.

As the weeks went on, the cancer and his treatment caused Owen to lose over forty pounds, his hair, and the ability to walk. He struggled through excruciating pain everyday.

Owen is now cancer free! He is the strongest person I know and I love him more than anything. I have learned to never take anything for granted, and always give back when I can. Last year was my second year shaving with St. Baldrick's and this year I am again shaving to raise money for childhood cancer research.

Please help me reach my fundraising goal! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive.
