Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?
Many of you know me as the guy with dreadlocks. I’ve had them most of my life, and they’ve become a big part of my identity. Over the years, family, friends, and co-workers have joked, “I’ll give you money if you shave it all off.”
Well, it’s finally time to make good on it - but for a far more important reason.
A close friend’s son is fighting cancer. On top of the normal challenges of caring for an infant, his family drives hours a week for treatment and has to manage it all in quarantine, without the usual support from friends or extended family. Watching them face this, I’ve struggled to find a way to truly support them.

That’s why I’m joining the St. Baldrick’s Foundation head-shaving fundraiser; to show moral support, and to help fund life-saving childhood cancer research.
Every dollar you give goes directly to St. Baldrick’s (the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants). Your support gives kids and their families hope, and creates a ripple effect of progress.
And don’t forget: many employers will match charitable donations, sometimes doubling or tripling your impact. Check if your company participates.
So if you’ve ever offered me $20, $50, $100, $500, a drink, or just a laugh to cut my hair; now’s your chance to make it real. Let’s give these kids the lifetime they deserve.
